Delete your data

You can remove Xukko’s access to your Instagram account and have your data deleted at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and how long it takes. It applies to businesses that use Xukko and to people who commented on or messaged those businesses.

1.If you use Xukko

Step 1: disconnect Instagram

  1. Log in and open Settings, then the Instagram tab.
  2. Click Disconnect and confirm.

We delete your Instagram access token straight away, so Xukko can no longer read or send anything for your account, and all automations stop.

You can also remove access from Instagram: in the Instagram app or website, open Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, and remove Xukko.

Step 2: ask us to delete everything

Email hello@xukko.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Xukko data”. Tell us your Instagram username and workspace name. If you’re not the workspace owner, the owner has to send the request.

2.If you commented on or messaged a business

Email hello@xukko.com with your Instagram username and, if you know it, the business you contacted. We’ll delete your comments, messages and any contact details you shared that we hold for that business, and let the business know. You can also ask the business directly. Messages already delivered to your Instagram inbox or the business’s inbox on Instagram stay there; only Instagram can delete those.

3.What gets deleted

  • Your Instagram connection: access token, profile details and the list of your posts and reels.
  • Automation rules, message templates and link buttons.
  • Conversations, comments and messages stored in the inbox.
  • Contacts, including emails and phone numbers people shared.
  • Your price list, FAQs and AI settings.
  • Scheduled posts and the media you uploaded for them.
  • Your Xukko login, workspace and team members.

What we keep: records we’re required to keep by law, such as billing and tax records once paid plans exist, and a note that we completed your request. Nothing that lets us keep using your Instagram data.

4.How long it takes

  • Immediately: disconnecting Instagram removes our access and stops all automations.
  • Within 7 days: we confirm your email request and give you a reference number.
  • Within 30 days: your data is deleted from our systems, and we email you when it’s done.
  • Within a further 30 days: copies in encrypted backups are overwritten.
